Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Black dog drinks from the water trying to cool his tongue. Like the king, finds no peace, his work is never done. Night falls, smoke on the water, darkness closes in, cold, white hand in the deep will drown you for your sins. It's a lifelong expedition, second-guessing your decisions, trying to find out what's been missing, and the pages keep on fillin'! Crying out, oh, go and wake the king! Call to arms for those who kiss the ring! Stand your ground! The walls are comin' down! It's do or die, do or die! Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Mad man, blood on the altar, the queen will have his head. His ghost will shake those rattling chains long after he's dead. No soul, knows he is trouble high upon his throne. Loved by few and judged by many, he bears that weight alone. It's a lifelong expedition, second-guessing your decisions, trying to find out what's been missing and pages keep on fillin'! Crying out, oh, go and wake the king! Call to arms for those who kiss the ring! Stand your ground! The walls are coming down! It's do or die, do or die! Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

the highway won't hold you tonight
the highway don't know you're alive
Hate wasn't something people let go of easy and, while he was certain that held true in his case, hence the reason for the attempt at disguise, it had still been nice to see the kingdom recover. The situation with the displaced and why they were showing up remained unsolved, but, on the whole, they hadn't harmed the kingdom. Not yet, at any rate. It was certainly still a far cry away from having to face the threat of the approaching Darkness, trying to ready a kingdom for something it couldn't possibly imagine.

But Logan needed out of the castle. It was nice to be rid of the weight of ruling, but that didn't mean he had nothing to attend to in Bowerstone. With no need to constantly surround himself with the rich and snobby though, locking himself up in the castle for too long served only to make him feel too confined.

He did have the sense to avoid roaming too far just yet. Some sense of duty still clung to him and told him that he should stay relatively close in case he was needed, that way it wouldn't take forever and a decade to get back. Mending bridges with the public was going to be no easy feat and it was one he wasn't sure he would ever pull off, but he had at least worked on the one with his sister. They weren't perfect and they hadn't always seen eye to eye (partly on his own fault, true; he still considered that he maybe should have told his sister, told more people than just Briar; he could've had help then, but, alas, there was no sense in dwelling on what was come and gone and couldn't be changed), but Stella was still his sister and he wanted to be there for her if he was needed. He owed her at least that for her decision to spare his life when it probably would have been easier to take it, especially when such a decision had garnered much support.

Long story short, he was in Mourningwood, dressed simply with a hood pulled up over his head to better guard his face on his travels despite the growing darkness that now hung overhead. The cursed plague of the Legion offered the perfect spot for a little bit of practice and entertainment. He wasn't about to let his skills go rusty that easily, after all, and he had been sure to take with him an ample supply to keep him going throughout the night. And, of course, he had forewarned Briar of where he would be, just so his absence wouldn't raise any alarms with anyone. He was pretty sure there were plenty of people that wouldn't mind if he got carried off by Hobbes or torn up by some Balverines, after all.

He didn't have long to wait before the night had fully settled in and the first groups of Hollow Men started to appear about the Fort. "Hello there, bonesy," he muttered, readying himself with his sword raised as the group drew closer. The Hollow Man was the first to take a swipe and Logan dodged out of the way. "Don't mind if I do." He struck out next, the metal of the blade striking cleanly against bone. Quickly, the prince had the creature downed.

It'd be almost too easy if there weren't that many of them though. He was looking for a challenge, not a lake walk. If he'd wanted that, he would've gone to Millfields.

notes: he is dressed like this. he basically intends to hack away at hollow men for a bit of entertainment so he doesn't lose his mind with all the annoying royalty things, so anyone's free to join him. xD
